At 12 weeks, patients receiving cell therapy had considerably improved ankle-brachial indexes, transcutaneous oxygen measurement, and 6-minute strolling distance. At 12 months, treatment with Ixmyelocel-T cells significantly prolonged the time to therapy failure defined as main amputation, all-cause mortality, doubling of total wound floor space from baseline, or de novo gangrene.
