Olive, the Other Reindeer

Can a sweet but confused dog discover her true nature while thinking she's a season–saving reindeer? Can a shady but true penguin drive a postal truck? Is the Pope a Philly's fan? All of these questions and more are answered in this beloved holiday favorite.

Drew Barrymore stars as the voice of Olive in this flatly stylized 3D cartoon based on the popular children's book by J. Otto Seibold and Vivian Walsh. Joining her in the cast are Dan Castellaneta, Peter MacNicol, Joey Pantoliano, Jay Mohr, Ed Asner, Tim Meadows and R.E.M.'s Michael Stipe.

Olive was produced by Matt Groening's The Curiosity Company, Drew Barrymore's Flower Films and Fox Television Studios. The show premiered Friday, December 17, 1999, on Fox Network.

Olive at The Emmys®

Olive was nominated for an Emmy® in the spring of 2000. "It is an honor to be nominated, and I am humbled by the stature of my fellow nominees." said Olive. Roughly translated, that meant, "I'm going to stomp those losers!"

Olive's Older Brother?

DNA's first Christmas special, "Santa vs. the Snowman", originally aired in 1997 on ABC and was produced by Steve Oedekerk's O Entertainment.
