NEWS FROM DNA PRODUCTIONS
DNA Productions, Inc. of Dallas is at work on its second Christmas special, "Olive, the Other Reindeer," produced by The Curiosity Company, whose owner is Matt Groening of "The Simpsons." DNA is providing the animation based on the illustrations of J. Otto Siebold, who co-authored the book with Vivian Walsh upon which the special is based. FOX will air the one-hour program during the 1999 holiday season. (DNA's first Christmas special was "Santa vs. the Snowman" produced by O Entertainment for ABC, which aired in 1997.)
DNA is continuing work on the "Jingaroo" 3-D animated video series for children ages 5-8. "Jingaroo," the story of an adventurous kangaroo and his outback friends, is the first project produced by Beckett Entertainment, a division of Beckett Publications of Dallas. The first set of three videos are available through www.jingaroo.com.
DNA is also in development on a feature-length film and a television series based on its award winning cartoon "Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius" with Nickelodeon and Paramount Pictures, in association with producer O Entertainment.
DNA won another award from WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival. This time it was a bronze award in the Television and Cable Production Awards, Pilot category, for "Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius." Last year they won a gold for "Santa vs. the Snowman" in the Television and Video Productions, Animated category.
