"Olive, the Other Reindeer," Animated by DNA Productions Receives Emmy Nomination
"Olive, the Other Reindeer", the FOX Christmas special that aired Nov. 25, 1999 and featured animation by DNA Productions, Inc. of Dallas, has been nominated for an Emmy in the OUTSTANDING ANIMATED PROGRAM (for programming more than one hour) category. The Curiosity Company and Flower Films Inc. produced the program in association with Fox Television Studios. Matt Groening, Drew Barrymore, Nancy Juvonen, Claude De la Roca, executive producers; Alex Johns, producer; John Davis (of DNA Productions, Inc.), animation director/producer; Keith Alcorn (of DNA Productions, Inc.), animation producer; Steve Young, writer; Oscar Moore, director.
DNA provided the animation for this Christmas special based on the illustrations of J. Otto Siebold, who co-authored the book with Vivian Walsh upon which the program was based. (DNA's previous Christmas special was "Santa vs. the Snowman" produced by O Entertainment for ABC, which aired in 1997.)
